“While working as an assistant online editor at DIG MAG, Alicia Casey always produced quality work in a timely manner. She was always quick to assist our writers with whatever they needed. Alicia was the type of editor to sit down with writers and help them work through their articles to help them meet their full writing potential.”

  • DIG MAGAZINE SUMMER 2022 EDITION

Had a lot of fun working on this one. I got to work with a handful of talented writers. Not to mention, I had the pleasure of collaborating with an extremely talented team of editors, graphic designers, photographers and managers. The best part of this magazine in my opinion is the creativity that encompasses each and every page. That may seem broad, but it’s the common thread that holds the piece together.

  • DIG MAGAZINE 2022 SPRING EDITION

Everything about this publication felt fresh and lively. It was a hard winter, so making this piece brought light and joy into the newsroom. We brought on some incredible minds to build out the art direction for this magazine and they executed beyond what we could have expected. The result is a spring jubilee of designs that complement the articles beautifully.

  • DIG MAGAZINE 2021 WINTER EDITION

I don’t know where to start talking about this magazine because it was such a beautiful process. The writers for this edition gave heartfelt pieces that I still think about to this day. It was amazing to be able to read over their stories and get to know more about where they were coming from. I resonated with a few of the messages being put out on a deep level.

  • DIG MAG FALL 2021 EDITION

Starting my time at DIG with this magazine was a great experience. I got to see the behind-the-scenes creative and editorial processes that went into making and distributing a magazine. iI was the first time in my journey that I could really see myself pursuing a serious career in media. I found a love for writing, editing, internal communications and storytelling.

  • DIG MAGAZINE ONLINE

Being a part of the DIG Magazine online editor team was a dream come true. Overnight, I went from writing sample articles for grades in the classroom to being the person reviewing them before they went up. It was a major full-circle moment for me and I’m thankful for the confidence it provided me.

  • HUNNIBUZZ MAGAZINE

Acting as the editor-in-chief for this publication was an experience that taught me a lot about myself. I gained valuable insights into what it takes to manage a team, maintain deadlines and come up with creative solutions. This was the first edition of the magazine the agency ever put out, so we planned far ahead for release day.

  • REC REPORT NEWSLETTER AND ONLINE PUBLICATION

My task was to create an editorial action plan and execute it. By the time I left the publication, we had a successful flow in place between the writing and editing teams, an editorial calendar, weekly deadlines and monthly goals in place.

  • COPY EDITING FOR ASI COMMUNICATIONS DEPT.

A large part of my role at ASI was to copy edit all messaging so that it appeared correct according to AP Style and followed a conversational and inclusive tone. I enjoyed getting to work on multiple teams for this.

  • MARKETING COPY REVIEW FOR THE ENTIRE ASI ORG.

Whether a piece of marketing was for the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Student Government, or Sustainability Department, my eyes were on it first. I enjoyed being in the know of what was happening on campus.
