  • COMMUNICATIONS 422 HEALTH CAMPAIGN APPROACHED TWO WAYS WITH GAIN AND LOSS FRAME FLYERS

For my media effects course, I was tasked to create two flyers showing an ineffective and effective way to demonstrate a public service campaign. I choose to design my two flyers around the content of getting a mental health screening. One flyer used a gain frame, which encouraged the participant. On the other hand, one flyer used a loss frame, which blamed the participant.

  • JOURNALISM 240 MULTIMEDIA DESIGN PODCAST COVER PROJECT

For my multimedia design class, I originated two podcast cover options for the Musical Meditation Club at California State University, Long Beach. The designs showcased the simplicity of the club, its friendly feel, and its overall welcoming environment. Brand colors were used for the design elements and an emphasis was placed on a minimalistic look.

  • JOURNALISM 375 CSULB FACT SHEET PROJECT

In this course, I learned how to design and write fact sheets. From quality content to minimalist layouts, I was able to put together three sample fact sheets for the university and its departments. For the purpose of this task, I specifically focused on those areas in which my major and minor resided.

  • JOURNALISM 270 LEVI'S WATER>LESS CAMPAIGN VISION BOARD PROJECT

In this section of public relations strategies, I came up with a vision board reimagining the Levi’s Water>Less campaign. The assignment was to gear the campaign toward a Gen Z audience using designs they could relate to and identify with as consumers of the brand.

  • JOURNALISM 305 NEWSPAPER FRONT PAGE DESIGNS PROJECT

To complete my requirements for this media design course, I created two examples of front-page spreads for newspapers. The elements I considered when planning my designs included adequate whitespace, the format of the text, header placement, and correct image attributions.

  • INTRO TO JOURNALISM LOGO DESIGN IDEAS ON CANVA PROJECT

For this project, I created sample logos for made-up small businesses. These designs were meant to be vibrant, youthful and engaging for consumers. They showcased each brand and its specific long-term goals such as selling a unique picnic experience, promoting a mom-and-pop vegan food service, or highlighting a homey online bookstore.
